The United Nations Association's Aurelie Ngo and Moorissa Tjokro; Sita Ranchod-Nilsson, Director of Emory University's Institute for Developing Nations; and Ruhi Rahman, Community Engagement Fellow with UNICEF, will provide an overview of the new Sustainable Development Goals and discuss how the goals affect human rights, particularly with regard to women, peace and security. Students from Atlanta-area universities and high schools will participate in a reading of the 17 Global Goals, followed by a Q&A led by our moderator.

Faith leaders from the community, including Pastor Michael Wortham from Ebenezer Baptist Church, will lead the attendees in a blessing of the goals by phone light, held outside The Center next to the Nelson Mandela and Margaret Mead water sculptures.
